Equipment

Every studio has their own tried and true equipment that they swear by… and we are no exception. This week, we’ll be highlighting the industry-standard equipment we use to make your song sound like your favorite artists’.

Logic Pro X is our DAW (digital audio workstation) of choice - anything that comes into the studio is processed, arranged and mixed within Logic on our iMac. Whether it be a guitar, digital/live drums, or a vocal - Logic has tons of onboard effects, beautiful digital instruments, and can easily make your next song stand out from the rest.

The Apollo from Universal Audio is the audio interface we use at the studio to record vocals, guitars, or drums straight into Logic. There are many audio interfaces out there, but there is one thing that only the Apollo can do: apply effects while you’re recording. So, if you ever want a delay on your guitar, or autotune on your voice to monitor during your performance, the Apollo can do just that.

Below we’ll list the rest of the equipment we love to use here at Studio 117. If you have any questions or want to know more about any of our gear, feel free to shoot us an email!
