Session Preparation

A huge part of recording is making the most out of each time slot you’ve booked. Below, we highlight some of the ways that you can maximize your time at the studio so that each session is a successful one.

Finish Writing. If you haven’t finished writing your song before arriving, we recommend that you do before booking. If you spend half of your session finishing the lyrics, then you won’t be able to perfect the delivery or add the layers necessary to bring the song to life.

Practice Makes Perfect. Before arriving at the studio, make sure that you have thoroughly practiced each section of the song. It’s important to maximize your recording time while you’re in the studio.

Have your instrumental file ready. You can send files or youtube links to our email, and we will be happy to download them for you.

Recording a Demo at home is a great way to prepare for any song. By doing this, you can fully realize your creative idea, and have a direct plan for when you come into the studio!

If the lyrics are finished and you’ve thoroughly practiced your parts, you’re on the right track! Now it's time to record. It’s good practice to clear your throat before starting, and if you ever need a glass of water, don’t be afraid to ask and we’ll get you one.
